As one traverses from one room to another, they are offered to experience the joy of slow living and a contrasting fast-paced high energy environment within the same space What is your dream project? A resort in a beautiful setting. Tell us about the most challenging project you’ve worked on? While designing the recent rendition of the Sequel restaurant was exciting, it was challenging to strike the right chord and achieve a minimal yet perfectly balanced interior environment. We endeavoured to elevate the diner’s experience through a very minimal and contemporary narrative with its distinct design language staying true to its beliefs. Marrying modernity and subtlety through a fusion of craft and organic food, the space was designed to allude to a timeless charm, abiding by the very same ethos of subtle luxury, slow living and refined lifestyles. What does your dream home look like? I would envision a space where the inside and the outside blend in seamlessly, succinctly embracing the surrounding context with abundant natural light. I would choreograph the spaces, elevating them with a curated vision of art, design and antiques! Do you lean towards Art Deco or Art Nouveau in your design aesthetics? I would prefer Art Deco over Art Nouveau but my personal style has its own language, skews minimalist with a contemporary edge inspired by the Indian aesthetic. But Saraf’s influence extends beyond the realm of business alone. She is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to the world of fashion and luxury. Saraf has walked the ramp for major Indian designers and endorsed several luxury brands in their campaigns. Saraf worked tirelessly for the last few years to build Vu technologies and make it the brand it is today. LuxeBook caught up with her to know all about her journey to success. Tell us about your journey as CEO of Vu Technologies and how it all came about. I started Vu Televisions when I was 24 years old, because I had this vision of building a high-end luxury brand, coming from a family business background in technology. I thought it would be the ideal way of blending luxury and technology. The first thing I did was to research product development labs across the world and start my own lab to make high-end products. The second part was to build a superb brand and the entire experience around it. Then, of course, was how as an entrepreneur I am going to put in my money and build this.
