A mongst the many perks of the post-pandemic world, one of them is the return of fashion weeks, especially couture weeks. After the recently concluded Haute Couture Week in Paris, Indian designers represented their best collections for the most prestigious couture weeks in the country. The FDCI India Couture Week was held from 22 -31 July in New Delhi. This year makes 15 years of the Couture Week. To celebrate the occasion, FDCI brought together designers who celebrated Indian craftsmanship and techniques in their collections. Among many names, one duo whose collection we were eagerly waiting to see was Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna’s new Rahul Khanna comes clean on how the couture world is evolving, time and again, only to come a full circle. The collection, named after the famous Fibonacci sequence, brings to the table for the first time a cocktail/ wedding couture collection with a dash of fuchsia, along with signature metallics and turquoise. Ahead of their show on July 27, we caught up with Rahul Khanna to know more about their upcoming couture collection – Fibonacci, their views on the changing world of fashion and how designers stayed relevant in a world of constant exposure.
