Balbir Singh Dhillon Head, Audi India An engineer from Punjab Engineering College, Dhillon is the first Indian to head Audi India ever in the country. He is a scion with many years of experience in the luxury automobile industry. Dhillon was Head of Dealer Development in India when he was chosen to head the India division of the industry. Previously, he has worked with Porsche India, Honda Cars India, among others. He completed his masters in finance from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, leaving him equipped for the future. Dhillon believes, “Wake up every day wanting to learn and to better yourself. There are no shortcuts to success – take the long road and be a student for life.” When not working, he may be found relaxing with a glass of wine while watching a movie with his family. Under his able leadership, Audi India’s sales have grown by 97 per cent in the first half of 2023, as compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, their official pre-owned car business has also grown by over 50 per cent during the same period. The sports car “Luxury is a state of mind.” range saw a growth of 127 per cent, while the SUV (Q range) grew by 217 per cent in the same period.
