One of the biggest highlights for the week was the news of Elon Musk acquiring social network giant Twitter with a $44 billion deal. Twitter will now operate as a private company. Former CEO Parag Agarwal will now depart from the company.

German marque BMW has launched the second generation of its smallest performing car the BMW M2. Without compromising on design, the moderately sized car has a more powerful engine and manual transmission with two doors. This is one of the key luxury highlights for the week.

Burberry enters the Minecraft metaverse

Fashion has a newfound love for the metaverse and with technology gaining importance, the latest brand to jump on the bandwagon is Burberry. The British label has collaborated with the GOAT of gaming, Minecraft, to bring checks and trench coats into The Overworld, and Minecraft motifs into the real world.⁠
⁠A new in-game adventure, Burberry: Freedom to Go Beyond invites players to explore a series of worlds that reference Burberry signatures. The game has building blocks which are rendered in the brand’s iconic Nova check, fields of wheat are populated by deer (a house mascot), and gardens are dotted with hedges-shaped like Burberry’s TB logo.⁠
Mondrian Hotel to open in Singapore

Singapore is a hub of luxury and making it the latest from there is the opening of the luxury hotel chain Mondrian Hotels in the city. Being the first in Singapore, the hotel will open in the quarter of 2023 and will be located at Duxton.
