Mercedes released their all new luxury SUV AMG GLE 63 in India

Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz introduced the top-spec AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ Coupé in India. A high-performance AMG model, the new car comes with a fresh design and more power, making it Mercedes’ fastest coupé SUV.

Exterior 

The car is redesigned with larger 22-inch light-alloy wheels, a bespoke Panamericana grille, and twin LED DRLs. A new AMG twin tailpipe exhaust and a trim strip in silver chrome add a sporty width to the car.

Interior

While the interiors remain more or less the same, the automobile gets a few new features like a three-spoke AMG-spec steering wheel wrapped in full DINAMICA microfibre, aluminium shift paddles, AMG-specific Nappa leather-wrapped seats with an “AMG” badge in the front backrests. Optional AMG trim elements in carbon fibre add a sporty touch to the interior.

Engine

4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged petrol V8 engine produces 612hp and 850Nm of peak torque. A top speed of 280kph allows the car to go from 0-100kph in just 3.8sec, making it the brand’s fastest coupé SUV. It is also the first AMG V8 model to feature a 48V EQ Boost hybrid system which supplies an extra 22hp and 250Nm when required.

Entertainment

The new model gets the standard 12.3-inch dual-screen set-up that runs the MBUX infotainment system with AMG specific functions and displays for instrument cluster. The steering wheel too gets dedicated controls to adjust the ride height, dampers, exhaust sound and more.

Price 

Priced at Rs 2.7 crores (ex-showroom), the AMG GLE 63 is available in six colour variants including Selenite Grey, Obsidian Black, Mojave Silver, Emerald Green, Cavansite Blue Metallic and Brilliant Blue Metallic.
