Silhouette Salon de Beauté is Where Luxury Finally Slows Down
The world is healing, and somewhere between endless screen time, work calls and step counts, self-care has quietly shifted from indulgence to intention. Hustle culture hasn’t disappeared, but it has softened. And carving out time for yourself feels like a necessity. Which is perhaps why my visit to Silhouette Salon de Beauté at The Oberoi, New Delhi felt so perfectly timed.
Walking into The Oberoi always carries a certain stillness. Tucked within its serene interiors, Silhouette Salon de Beauté feels like a continuation of that calm. Instead of that unsaid rush, the salon invites you to settle in, into plush seating, hushed conversations, and a rhythm that prioritises comfort over chaos.

Silhouette’s story is deeply intertwined with the legacy of The Oberoi itself. Founded in 1965 by Mrs. Prem Mehra, the salon has, for six decades, quietly shaped Delhi’s understanding of luxury beauty. And sixty years on, that vision still feels remarkably intact. “With a dream to bring world-class treatments to the heart of Delhi, I founded Silhouette Salon de Beauté in 1965. From the very beginning, we collaborated with leading international brands and built a reputation synonymous with artistry and luxury. Six decades later, I’m proud to see that my vision continues to thrive,” says Mrs. Mehra.

Review:
As someone who has been the unofficial brand ambassador for coloured hair in my friend group for as long as I can remember, I walked in especially excited to try Silhouette’s hair colour services. After a detailed consultation that actually felt like a conversation (not a sales pitch), we landed on a mahogany red with rich and warm tones, that sounded just dramatic enough. And honestly? It might just be my prettiest colour yet.
Given the daily styling my hair endures, the team recommended an Aveda colour refresh treatment to restore moisture and strength post-colour. It was one of those moments where you realise how much your hair has been silently asking for help. Post the treatment, I could feel the softer lengths, healthier shine, and colour that felt alive.
While my hair was being styled, Silhouette did what it does best; pamper me some more. I was treated to their luxury pedicure, and after clocking over 10,000 steps earlier that morning, the timing couldn’t have been better.

What truly sets Silhouette apart, though, is its commitment to personalisation, a topic that’s hotter than ever. As Ragini Mehra, Managing Director and CEO, puts it, beauty here is not just about services, it’s about experience. From precision haircuts to advanced skincare rituals, every treatment is designed with care, attention and individual needs in mind.
The salon’s skincare menu reads like a curated global edit (which I can’t wait to go back for). You’ll see marine-infused rituals by Guinot, Thalgo and Algotherm, advanced HydraFacial treatments, anti-ageing therapies, and even seven-light LED facials for targeted skin concerns. On the haircare front, Silhouette offers everything from the deeply indulgent Takara Belmont Yume Headbath to advanced repair rituals by K18, Olaplex and Kérastase, alongside 100% vegan, toxin-free Aveda hair colour.
There’s also a dedicated Men’s Studio, designed as a refined grooming space offering everything from Phytomer marine shaves to rejuvenating facials. Add to that a team of expert makeup artists and a well-loved nail studio, and Silhouette becomes a full-spectrum beauty destination.
