The best ads are the ones that pull on your heartstrings, or more importantly the ones that make you want to swipe that credit card. Luxury brands take ads to the next level, with gorgeous backdrops, celebrity faces and aspirational fashion.
Here’s a list of ad campaigns that will make you want to shop till you drop.
Loewe
A whimsical, animated 60-second story, directed by BAFTA winner Nina Gantz, celebrates launch of Loewe’s William De Morgan capsule collection. De Morgan was an acclaimed ceramicist, whose fantastical patterns and animal motifs meld with Loewe’s history of innovation and heritage. Released in December 2019, the short film combines stop-motion animation, puppetry with live action of models, and the story unfolds within West London’s Leighton House, which contains close to one hundred works by De Morgan.

Audi
In a colourfully eye-catching advertisement, Audi captures a type of driver everyone is used to, the clown. Highlighting the safety aspect of their cars, different models of the Audi are seen avoiding clown cars handled by distracted bad drivers. The outright humour is tempered by the soothing melody in the background, a reinterpretation of the classic Stephen Sondheim showtune “Send in the Clowns”. Released in 2017, the ad is created by the creative agency BBH London and shot by director Ringan Ledwidge.

Who doesn’t have a pair of comfortable jeans? This video is high on the relatability scale, making viewers reminisce about their treasured denims.

Stuart Weitzman
American shoemaker Stuart Weitzman ups the cute quotient in a lovely new campaign video featuring tennis ace Serena Williams and her daughter Olympia. Williams is the brand’s global ambassador, but her three-year-old steals the show in the “Footsteps to Follow” video released by Stuart Weitzman just a couple of days ago. It captures charming moments between the mother-daughter duo, including Olympia trying on her mom’s shoes and talking about love, life and dreams.
