From gob-smacking collaborations to elevated luxury establishments and a gamut of supercars, it’s been buzzing week after week. We take a moment to look at some of the top luxury news highlights for the week.

Dior launches the new D-Journey Bag

Making it to the luxury news highlights this week is Dior’s newest bag the D-Journey Bag. Set to hit stores in January 2025, the new accessory by Maria Grazia Chiuri was unveiled at the Dior spring-summer 2025 ready-to-wear show. Moving away from boxy bags, it is fluid, and slouchy and features a generous central compartment, secured with zips. Being multifunctional, it can be worn as a short crossbody or on the shoulder. The strap is adorned with the signature CD initials and is available in full leather or canvas in small, medium and large sizes.
Jamavar Doha Earns a Michelin Star

The weeks luxury news highlights Indian culinary excellence as Jamavar Doha co-founded bySamyukta Nair and helmed by Chef Surender Mohan, earns a Michelin star in the inaugural Michelin Guide for Qatar. Located at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, Jamavar Doha celebrates Indian cuisine on the world stage. Since its debut in 2021, Jamavar Doha has become synonymous with culinary artistry, offering dishes that showcase the finest of India’s royal and coastal kitchens.
Signature creations like Kid Goat Shami Kebab, Scallop Moilee, Leela’s Lobster Neeruli, and Laal Maas have won acclaim for their intricate flavours and authentic techniques. The restaurant is part of the Jamavar family, which originated in India at The Leela Palaces in 2001 and has since expanded globally. Jamavar London, led by Chef Mohan, earned its Michelin star in 2022. Chef Surender Mohan, Culinary Director of Jamavar shared, “This Michelin star is not just an honour for Jamavar Doha but a recognition of Indian culinary traditions. It reflects our team’s commitment to excellence and the growing appreciation for Indian flavours globally.”
Louis Vuitton’s Largest Store In The United States

If you thought it was the end of luxury cafes around the world, you are mistaken. Located on 57th Street NYC is the largest Louis Vuitton space in the United States. Louis Vuitton is transforming NYC’s retail scene with a temporary store at 6 E. 57th Street, opening November 15.
This multi-level space introduces the brand’s first U.S. café and chocolate shop, alongside a New York-inspired capsule collection. Spanning five floors, the store blends culture and retail with immersive installations, such as towering trunks and mirrored bag walls. Highlights include Le Café Louis Vuitton offering a chic dining experience, led by celebrated chefs, and Le Chocolat showcasing handcrafted treats by Maxime Frédéric.
The new Maserati MA-01

Maserati fans, get ready to meet the MA-01—a modern take on the bold, boxy design of the iconic 1990s Shamal. Modena Automobili has reimagined this Italian classic with a powerful 500-hp twin-turbo V6 engine, aggressive new styling, and sleek LED lights. With just 33 cars to be made, this is a rare masterpiece, priced from $600,000 USD.
The MA-01 is powered by a 3.0L V6 twin-turbo engine, borrowed from the Maserati Ghibli S and co-developed with Ferrari. This engine produces 500 horsepower, launching the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 177 mph. It’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission for quick, smooth shifts in only 150 milliseconds, while also improving fuel efficiency. Although still in development, we couldn’t resist adding it to this week’s luxury news highlights.
Hublot’s new Big Bang Tourbillon Carbon SR_A by Samuel Ross

Faithful to Hublot’s Art of Fusion, the brilliant artist and designer Samuel Ross takes his creativity to new heights. Unveiled during Miami Art Week, it features shades of orange and green, the artist chose to redefine the materials used while introducing a new chromatic variation based on the colour blue.
The new timepiece retains the 44 mm Big Bang case, with its 13.75 mm thickness, and showcases a honeycomb pattern in a fresh grey finish that extends to the movement. The bezel stands out with a two-tone finish—satin on top and microblasted on the sides—while the hands, hour markers, and crown moulding feature two shades of blue, dark and light.
The watch incorporates frosted grey carbon on the bezel while the sapphire dial offers a sleek view of the skeletonized calibre. A dark blue perforated rubber strap, mirroring the honeycomb motif, is adjustable with a redesigned clasp. The Big Bang Tourbillon Carbon SR_A is limited to just 50 pieces.
