Mercedes’ new Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture takes inspiration from Haute Couture

Classic, stylish and opulent is what best describes every car design unveiled by Mercedes-Benz. Their Maybach S-Class in particular is considered to be one of their most luxurious models ever. And now Mercedes has given the Maybach S-Class range a stylish makeover with its new Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture. Inspired by the world of haute couture, the new car is part of a limited edition series with only 150 models available worldwide.

The Maybach S-Class by itself was always considered as Mercedes’ most stylish range, but compared to the new Haute Voiture, it almost seems underwhelming. The exterior’s shiny persona is defined by an exclusive two-tone paint finish. It uses a combination of metallic nautical blue on top, with a light shimmering rose tone in the lower section and nautical blue metallic rims. A bold set of mono-block wheels, again in nautical blue, a chrome hood ornament, grille, window sills and badging add a bold statement to the outside.
Adding to the glam of the exterior is a new surround lighting system with animated projection. With this, a lit up animated Mercedes-Benz or Mercedes-Maybach pattern elegantly illuminates the front and rear entry areas when the doors are opened.

The glam makeover continues on the inside. While the cabin layout is pretty much the same as the Maybach S680, the Haute Voiture displays more panache. It showcases an extended use of dark nautical blue and rose gold tones with additional crystal and glossy opal white features. Underlining its Haute Couture inspiration, Mercedes employes a high-quality fashion-inspired bouclé fabric in blue, beige, gold and rose gold shades. The bouclé paired with high quality leather truly gives the car a premium look and feel.
Mercedes’ renowned MBUX touchscreen infotainment system makes an appearance with sparkles and magnolia blossom sequences. A sparkling cloud and a shimmering rose gold start-up sequence is also available. The MBUX infotainment system also features model-specific graphics and allows users to select between 12 different avatars that can be dressed up and accessorized.

Haute Voiture Bag Collection
And finally, to luxury experience, the S-Class Haute Voiture will be delivered with a hand-made giftbox containing its badge number, a scaled model and key ring along with a special car cover featuring the Maybach and Haute Voiture logo.
And for a final surprise, the car also comes with a special bag collection that will accompany the Haute Voiture models retailing in early 2023. These will be available in different styles and sizes in a limited run. What makes these so special is that the bags are made of materials featured in the interior of the vehicle and combine the Haute Couture extravagance with detailed craftsmanship.

“The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture heralds a new chapter of high exclusivity for the brand,” Daniel Lescow, the head of Mercedes-Maybach, said in a statement. “With a restricted limited run of 150 units, the special edition reflects our brand philosophy to occasionally release aspirational collectibles. Thus, we further strengthen the position of Maybach as the ultimate luxury pioneer and facilitate one-of-a-kind luxury experiences that go beyond our customers’ expectations.”
