Rashmika Mandanna & Vijay Deverakonda’s Wedding Was Written In Gold

I’ve always wanted to marry a South Indian guy, not just because I love the coastal cuisine, but also because I’d get to wed within one of the most visually poetic traditions in the country. And Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s wedding just proved that. Following a divinely beautiful ‘Ram–Sita’ memo, the bride and groom wore custom outfits by Anamika Khanna. While the couture set the tone for a ceremony rooted in mythology and romance, it was the gold that did the talking!

For the wedding ceremonies, Hyderabad-based SHREE Jewellers crafted an exclusive collection rooted in Nakshi craftsmanship and intricate Rava detailing. With Temple Jewellery being at the forefront, Managing Directors Abhishek Agarwal and Kaushik Kumar personally helmed the conceptualisation, creating heirloom-worthy pieces with temple architecture.

Rashmika’s bridal ensemble read like a goddess manifesto. She wore a choker layered with traditional harams, sculptural jhumkas, jada billa, champasaralu, hathphool, mathapatti, nose pin, bangles, bajuband, waist belt and payals. All the peices were finished in an antique matte polish that glowed with heritage gravitas.

It would be only fair to say that it was one of those rare weddings where the groom arrived as co-protagonist in full regalia. (Grooms-to-be, take notes!) The elephant motifs and tiger elements on his jewellery symbolised wisdom and agility, while deep Nakshi engraving and braided Rava textures gave his layered haars, cuffs, bajuband and belt an unsaid authority. In a wedding landscape where men’s jewellery is finally claiming space, Vijay’s look made for the most beautiful chapter, and the alta on his hands dissolved all gender binaries.

The brand also shares how the Haldi, Mehendi and Sangeet looks featured raw-textured gold, heirloom Panchalada-inspired necklaces, Art Deco chevrons and emerald-centred statements. In the era of diamond minimalism and muted bridal palettes, this wedding put temple gold back to where it belongs.

“Designing for Vijay and Rashmika was about honouring heritage while allowing individuality to shine through,” share Abhishek Agarwal & Kaushik Kumar, Managing Directors, SHREE Jewellers. “Traditional gold jewellery has always symbolised devotion and strength. With this wedding, we wanted to reinterpret that legacy for a new generation, including the evolving narrative of men’s adornment.”
