The Lush Lounge by Puru Home is peak terrace fantasy!
In a city that never stops moving, sometimes all you crave is a quiet little pocket of paradise. Somewhere to sip your coffee, catch your breath, and let your mind wander. In Pune, tucked away on a modest terrace just 220 square feet wide, Puru Home has crafted exactly that; a lush lounge that feels like a soulful escape from the otherwise scurried world.
Conceptualised by designer Kushagra Tyagi, this intimate residential project is made up of your terrace dreams where you wouldn’t feel time passing by. It gives old world charm, with nature spilling from every corner wrapped in playful colours.
At the heart of the terrace, a weathered turquoise bench is worn to the perfect shade by sun and time, anchoring the seating. It’s softened with a lively mix of cushions, each bursting with personality, like old friends gathering for a chat. Facing it, a pair of black wire chairs flirt with the same playful energy, their tasselled pillows adding a touch of whimsy. Between them, low tables with hand-painted tops hold space for everything from morning tea to midnight musings.

The ground beneath you is a delightful puzzle of textures. Patchworked patterned tiles dance alongside a floral rug that gently anchors the setting without overpowering it. This clever layering warms up the hardscape, blurring the line between the comforts of indoors and the breezy freedom of the outdoors.
The greenery isn’t present in a manicured way, but as if the plants themselves chose this terrace to thrive. Some spill lazily over vertical planters; others stretch skyward in rebellion against the neatness of pots lined up along the glass railing. It’s biophilic beauty in its purest form- wild, rhythmic, and absolutely alive.

On the back wall, a long, carved mirror framed in aged wood pulls the scene together, adding depth and a hint of nostalgia. The natural beige walls allow the riot of colours and textures to pop without competition. And then there’s the view: beyond the transparent railings, Pune stretches out into the horizon, where the cityscape meets gentle hills, and suddenly, the rush of urban life feels a world away.
