Tarun Tahiliani Debuts new prét line, OTT at Lakmé Fashion Week
The penultimate day of Lakmé Fashion Week, in partnership with FDCI, unfolded in spectacular style as NEXA presented Tarun Tahiliani’s debut luxury prét line, OTT. A partnership that has long championed the avant-garde, NEXA and Lakmé Fashion Week have become a perennial platform for India’s top designers, and this season’s grand finale was no exception. Bringing Tahiliani’s new prêt offering to life with striking flair, the show perfectly encapsulated the designer’s vision of combining modern silhouettes with India’s sartorial heritage.

NEXA has long inspired designers at Lakmé Fashion Week with its iconic deep blues and sleek metallic palette, and this collection carried those tones with elegance. From flowing saris to trench coats, the garments exuded both glamour and practicality. Tahiliani revived traditional forms—Jamas, Chogas, and Phirans—shaping them into contemporary garments that could easily sit alongside western-style dresses, skirts, and trousers. These weren’t pieces that belonged only in curated wardrobes for special occasions but ones ready for everyday sophistication.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Tahiliani said, “NEXA’s approach aligns beautifully with what we envisioned for OTT. We kept the design language clean, using a rich palette to highlight craftsmanship while staying true to India’s diverse attire traditions.” With a focus on sleek silhouettes and subtle details, OTT offers versatility without losing sight of the grandeur that defines Indian fashion.

The synergy between Tahiliani and NEXA extends beyond the runway, as Partho Banerjee, Sr. Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki, explained: “This partnership reflects NEXA’s dedication to creating refined experiences that resonate with our audience. It’s about raising the bar on what luxury means, across fashion and automotive design.” The show embodied that philosophy, presenting a line that was as polished as it was wearable, bridging style and function with ease.
Closing the night was Aditi Rao Hydari, stepping onto the runway as the showstopper in a signature OTT ensemble. She wore a corset-style bodysuit, paired with a flowing wrap-around skirt and a cape that trailed elegantly behind her. The structured bodice added precision to the ensemble, balancing the movement of the drapery with a controlled silhouette. Her look captured the essence of the collection—refined yet dynamic, and rooted in both heritage and contemporary aesthetics.
