The New Porsche 911 Carrera T Is Going Manual For 2025

If you’re a fan of Porsche’s heritage and want a car that demands your full attention, the 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T is probably the most exciting model on offer. It’s designed for those who love the basics of pure driving. Since its first release in 1968, the Carrera T has focused on keeping things simple, prioritizing the thrill of the drive over fancy extras. The 2025 model stays true to this, making it a top choice for drivers who want that authentic sports car feel. It is now offered as both a coupé and, for the first time, a cabriolet. The focus is on the essentials, featuring a turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six engine paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission.

The Porsche 911 Carrera T is equipped with a powerful twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six engine, producing 388 hp and 448.8 Nm of torque. It features a six-speed manual transmission, allowing for full driver control—a rare find in today’s automatic-dominated market. The coupé can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and boasts a top speed of 294.5 km/h. Meanwhile, the cabriolet achieves 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and has a maximum speed of 292.9 km/h. This model serves as a thrilling reminder of authentic driver engagement.

Additionally, the Porsche 911 Carrera T offers track-inspired features, including adaptive sport suspension and a standard sports exhaust, which enhance both sound and performance. Weighing in at just 1,504 kg, it is the lightest model in the 992.2 lineup, aside from the GT3. Although it might look similar to the regular 911 Carrera, the Porsche 911 Carrera T has unique touches, like a manual shift pattern on the rear side windows and Vanadium Grey accents. Inside, the manual shift includes a classic walnut knob that highlights its exclusivity.

Let’s then shift our focus to the design. Fans will recognize the Carrera T’s sleek, powerful look with Carrera S wheels in Vanadium Grey Metallic. For a more standout look, you can get the Carrera T Exterior package, which adds Gentian Blue Metallic accents. And if customisation is your thing, Porsche has exclusive options like the SportDesign front fascia, black Aerokit, and HD-Matrix LED headlights in black.

Inside, the Porsche 911 Carrera T, the vibe is sporty and classic. Porsche has kept it minimal yet purposeful, sticking to the essentials that highlight the car’s performance-first philosophy. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a clean, stripped-down cockpit that focuses on the driver without unnecessary distractions. The combination of sleek design and functional details creates a perfect environment for those who appreciate the raw, unfiltered connection to the car. The interior features Plaid Sport-Tex upholstery and black stitching for that signature Porsche feel. If you prefer, there’s also an option to upgrade to a leather interior. The seats are where Porsche really hits the mark. The standard heated Sport Seats Plus are designed to give you excellent support, especially during long drives or spirited track sessions. These seats strike a perfect balance between comfort and sportiness, making them ideal for daily use or a weekend track day. But for those who want to take things even further, there’s an option for Full Bucket Seats—lightweight, race-inspired seats that provide ultimate support for the most aggressive drivers. They’re not as plush, but they’re definitely more focused on performance, and for a car like the Carrera T, that’s what really matters. The coupé comes as a two-seater, which may seem limiting, but in reality, it’s a smart choice for drive lovers.
