Bvlgari, the Roman High Jeweller, is set to bring its iconic Serpenti to India in a spectacular new avatar. After acclaimed editions in Shanghai and Seoul, this marks the third chapter of the multi-sensory showcase, curated to explore the creative influence and cultural significance of Bvlgari’s most enduring emblem, the serpent.

Since its debut in 1948, the Serpenti has evolved into a universal icon, celebrated for its metamorphic nature and ability to inspire across generations. Serpenti Infinito brings this legacy into dialogue with Indian and international artistic practices, reimagining the symbol across mythology, craft, culture and technology.

Curated by Nature Morte, founded by Peter Nagy and Aparajita Jain, and envisioned by Artistic Director Sean Anderson, the exhibition unfolds across a three-part narrative, moving from the historic and contemporary to the transformative. Visitors will encounter commissioned artworks alongside Bvlgari’s own Serpenti Heritage collection, high jewellery creations, timepieces and archival masterworks.

“India has always been a profound source of inspiration for Bvlgari, thanks to its rich history, exceptional craftsmanship and deep cultural heritage,” says Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bvlgari. “Bringing Serpenti Infinito to Mumbai is more than a launch, it is a celebration of dialogue between our Roman roots and India’s vibrant artistic traditions.”

Echoing this, Aparajita Jain, Co-Director of Nature Morte, adds: “The exhibition presents a rich tapestry of perspectives, traditional and contemporary, Indian and international, that together honor the spirit of Bvlgari’s Serpenti Collection while reimagining it for a new context.”

With its seamless convergence of art, design, mythology and jewellery, Serpenti Infinito promises to be one of the most significant cultural and luxury events of the year in India, an exploration of how a Roman serpent continues to inspire infinite reinvention across civilizations.
