How I Met Your Mother star Alyson Hannigan’s palatial home in Encino, Los Angeles has gone up for sale. Priced at a jaw-dropping $18 million, the Sherman Residence designed by Peter Tolkin was bought by the star for $8 million back in 2016.

Nestled in the hills above San Fernando Valley, the design of the home brings together the outdoors and indoors seamlessly.  Hannigan’s home is designed with wood-and-glass pavilions that provide ample amount of natural light in, with gallery spaces connecting the different areas to define a central courtyard. Earthy and rustic define the design aesthetic so the home, while the colour palette is reflected with the use of different hues of wood.  Adding to the warm, fuzzy feeling of the home, the colour palette ranges from dark brown to more neutral shades with simple and minimal interior accents – think white tones interspersed with white and touches of green.

During her stay, Alyson Hannigan added immensely to the landscape and the fauna found around.
