Foodstories

At Foodstories, mango season is treated almost like a harvest story unfolding in real time. Through its annual showcase titled In Search of Mangoes, the gourmet retailer invites customers to experience the fruit not simply as a seasonal indulgence but as an exploration of terroir, timing and taste. The collection follows the natural rhythm of the harvest, bringing in more than twenty varieties from across India only when they reach their peak. Devgad Alphonso from Maharashtra, fragrant Kesar from Gujarat, silky Banganapalli from Andhra Pradesh and the beloved Dasheri and Langra from northern orchards appear gradually through the season.
Inside the store, mango becomes an experience in itself. Weekly highlights spotlight a single variety, while the café and bakery translate the fruit into thoughtful seasonal dishes such as Devgad Alphonso amras, raw mango salsa, mango and habanero guacamole and a delicate Bangkok mango sticky rice pudding.
