Le Petit Chef at Shangri La: World’s smallest chefs deliver a theatrical dining extravaganza

Picture this: tiny chefs, each standing just 4 inches tall, crafting gourmet delights right before your eyes. After making its grand debut last year, ‘Le Petit Chef & Friends’ are all set to dazzle your senses again, but with a twist. Join Pequeña Maria from Spain, Piccolo Luciano from Italy, Chisano Takahiro from Japan, and the charming Le Petit Chef from France on an extraordinary dining journey unlike any other.

Amidst the stylish ambiance of the hotel’s chic decor, we were primed for an enthralling one-and-a-half-hour extravaganza blending cutting-edge 3D mapping with culinary wizardry courtesy of our globetrotting culinary maestros. As the stage was set, we found ourselves whisked into a virtual cooking showdown, brimming with an irresistible array of international delicacies awaiting our eager taste buds. The burning question lingered: who would emerge victorious and claim the coveted ‘Golden Hat’ award? With live hosts adding to the buzz and thrill, the stage was set for an unforgettable showdown of epic proportions.

Our culinary journey kicked off with Chef Maria from Spain, dishing out a scrumptious Chicken Mortadella salad. Bursting with fresh flavors, each forkful was like a flavor explosion in our mouth. Then came Piccolo Luciano from Italy, showcasing his mesmerizing Liquid Parmigiano Reggiano. With the cheese melting and dripping from every corner of the plate, it became my personal favourite in seconds. It delivered on its promise of pure cheesy bliss. And as expected, Le Petit Chef stole the show with his delectable Braised Lamb Rump. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, well-seasoned to the last bite. Last but not least was Chisano Takahiro from Japan, wrapping up the night with his heavenly Green Tea Cake. This dessert was a delicate dance of flavors, with the gentle bitterness of the green tea perfectly balancing the sweetness of the cake, leaving us all craving for more. Throughout the thrilling culinary battle, we savoured a four-course feast showcasing the culinary mastery of Spain, Italy, Japan, and France. Each dish was a symphony of flavors, meticulously prepared with fresh ingredients and presented with flair. From Hass Avocado & Chicken Mortadella to Braised Lamb Rump with Compound Butter, every bite is a journey of taste sensations.
