Tanishq, a high jewellery brand from the house of Tata has unveiled a new high jewellery collection called ‘Tales of Mystique’, featuring rare and precious diamonds along with coloured gemstones. The collection is inspired by the heritage architecture of Rajasthan’s palaces and cityscape.

The collection debuted at the Paris Haute Couture Week, Fall-Winter 2023-24 in partnership with fashion designer Rahul Mishra.
Tanishq also held a showing of the collection at Pullman Aerocity in Delhi, along with a fashion show by Rahul Mishra where the collection was showcased.

Speaking on the collection, Garima Maheshwari, Head of Design, Tanishq, said “With Tales of Mystique, Tanishq offers an ode to the spirit of Rajasthan with a new line of high-end statement jewels that boast of colour, culture and refined aesthetic. The collection narrates the tales hidden in the beautiful architectural details of the majestic palaces, the charming forts, and the exotic cityscapes of Rajasthan. It is inspired by the artistic hues of wondrous Rajasthan and imbued with rich motifs and detailed elements unique to this place.
The collection has been designed keeping in mind a well-travelled clientele and is versatile when it comes to styling. The incorporation of several gemstones ensures that it is very colourful, and the cuts introduce a modern aesthetic to the pieces. Comprising of necklaces, chokers, danglers, rings and bracelets, the pieces can be worn together as a set, or purchased separately.
Natural elements have been woven into the collection as well. Designer Rahul Mishra spoke on the collaboration, “It makes me glad and proud to be joined by ‘Tanishq’ this season as a jewellery partner for our Couture Fall 2023 showcase at the Haute Couture Week in Paris. I commend and admire the colossal cultural impact of their brand as one of the largest in its domain, in India. Their prime workmanship & expertise in jewellery-making, along with their efforts towards empowering local craft communities of India are unparalleled and in alignment with the core philosophies of the brand Rahul Mishra.”

Rahul Mishra further spoke about how this collaboration was a great way to introduce modern Indian couture and design to the world. “The superiority of our craftsmanship is no new information. However, the quality of our handmade items have been accessed by luxury brands from all over the world, without acknowledgement. It is important now that homegrown brands take ownership of that craftsmanship and become the vehicle for it to go global.”

He underscored the importance of the growth of luxury in India, and the role that our handmade craft heritage had in it, and how it could be a source to tell the story of India’s craft lineage, a true luxury in our mechanised world.
