Where to book your next table in Mumbai
Mumbai’s restaurant landscape rarely stands still. Across the city, new openings continue to reinterpret dining through design, nostalgia and globally influenced menus while staying rooted in the rhythms of the neighbourhoods they inhabit. From an intimate retro diner in Bandra to a refined Indian dining destination near Chowpatty, here are the new restaurants and menus in Mumbai worth discovering right now.
Gong, Bandra

Perched above the bustle of Linking Road, Gong introduces a refined take on Pan Asian dining that balances bold flavours with a carefully considered design narrative. The restaurant’s interiors are built around the concept of Asian sound and soul, translating the resonance of a gong into a tactile spatial experience. Brass and bronze tones, organic textures and fluid architectural forms create a calm, layered environment that feels distinct from the energy of the street below. At the centre of the menu is an extensive sushi programme, among the largest in Mumbai, spanning classic nigiri and sashimi to inventive rolls such as the Avocado Truffle Roll, Hamachi Jalapeño Roll and Scallop Dynamite Roll. Cocktails draw inspiration from Asian ingredients such as yuzu, kaffir lime and tamarind, creating drinks that mirror the layered character of the menu.
