We’d all agree that true beauty is really about appreciating differences and being proud of our and everyone else’s individuality. As June sets the ball rolling for global Pride celebrations, various beauty brands are coming forward to express their support and commitment towards the LGBTQ+ community. Check out these new launches that are every bit rainbow-esque and artistic.
Unveiled in five new colours, Marc Jacobs Beauty’s lip-gloss sticks demonstrate a lovely high-shine finish. The vibrant palette includes shades in Pink-Kiki, Hips Don’t Lilac, Wet Your Lips, Coming Out and Dancing Sheen. The finishing touch is the quirky rainbow-themed packaging, making it a complete pride-special launch.
The brand will also donate $10,000 each to two LGBTQ+ charitable organizations – SAGE USA and Fondation Le Refuge.
Gleaming with all the gorgeous rainbow hues, Morphe recently dropped its Free to be collection, which is available in limited edition sets. It features a setting mist, a lip gloss, six-piece brush kit and a super pigmented eye shadow palette.
100 per cent of Morphe’s net proceeds will be donated to GLSEN, a US-based non-profit education organization that works for the empowerment of LGBTQ+ students.
A cult product for many professional beauty artists, influencers and celebrities, Face Halo’s makeup removers are extremely popular. This time, it released a pride-special version of its makeup-cleaning pads that are reusable and cruelty-free.
Five per cent of its total net sales will be given to The Trevor Project, an NGO that focuses on life-saving services for the LGBTQ+ youth.
A call of action to toast for the pride month from our homes during this lockdown, Urban Decay is currently running #PRIDEInside contest, asking what makes the participants proud to celebrate pride. The winner could win UD’s ultra-glamorous and colourful range of products worth $500.
