Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé launched in India, for Rs1.20 crore (ex-showroom)

German luxury giant Mercedes-Benz launched its all-new SUV Coupé—the AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé, a first in the AMG 53 series’ in India, today.
The much-awaited SUV combines sporty elegance and powerful performance with good off-road capabilities clubbed with innovative technologies. It comes with AMG six-cylinder in-line engine with twin scroll turbocharging. The F1 inspired 48 V EQ-Boost achieves 435 HP and an additional temporary 22 HP and 250 NM of electric output (0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds).

The AMG is equipped with seven drive programmes—slippery, comfort, sport, sport+, individual, trail and sand. Its Mercedes Me Connect option offers multiple convenient features like remote engine start, remote lock/unlock, car locator, speed monitor, emergency e-Call, which are accessible from a smartphone or a tablet.

In terms of design, there’s AMG-specific radiator grille in the front along with redesigned bumper with large air intakes, integrated rear spoiler and diffuser with quad tailpipes in black chrome. The double ring in the front apron accentuates its overall sharp design.

The rear of the car, with a trim strip in silver chrome, along with two round twin tailpipes, looks striking.

The all-new GLE is available in India in 300d, 400d, 450 and AMG GLE 53 Coupé variants and is priced at Rs1.20 crore (ex-showroom).
