Pantone, the global colour authority has picked Pantone 17-5104 Ultimate Gray and Pantone 13-0647 Illuminating as the colours of 2021.
In its press release, they have mentioned that the marriage of two colours conveys a message of strength and hope that is, both, enduring and uplifting, something the world desperately needs as it continues to fight Covid-19.
Pantone sees the two contrasting colours as yin and yang. The cheerful yellow is vivacious while the earthy grey evokes a sense of steadiness and resilience.
While incorporating it in your wardrobe or home this year, both colours need not be used in equal proportions. You can accentuate your ensemble or home with a pop of yellow through accessories or go all out and embrace one single colour.
