Accor set to launch 60 luxurious properties under the Emblems Collection of hotels

Hospitality group Accor is set to launch an Emblems Collection of boutique hotels and luxurious resorts. 60 properties around the world are part of the exciting line-up, all of which are expected to be launched by 2030.
Travellers may soon enjoy a café au lait in an Emblems brand hotel in the city of love, or a walk alongside the Charles Bridge in Prague. For the Emblems Collection Retreat, the rolling hills of Tuscany, cerulean blue waters of Mykonos, the unique city of Bodrum, Algarve, Bali, Australia’s Gold Coast and Mexico’s Riviera Maya are all prospective destinations.
Other target cities include London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Madrid, Marrakech, Cairo, Amman, Doha, Moscow, Bangkok, Seoul, Sydney, Montréal, New York, Havana, Cartagena, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, and Santiago, among others.
The first hotel under the Emblems banner will be the magnificent Guiyang Art Centre Hotel, in the heart of China’s Guizhou province, slated to open in December 2022. Originally built as an opulent private residence, this hotel houses 64 suites and two ballrooms.

Sébastien Bazin, Chairman and CEO, Accor, said of the launch, “The hotels we will feature in Emblems Collection are those sought out by travellers who appreciate high-end, boutique-style experiences, as well as by hoteliers who cherish the independent brands they’ve built while desiring the benefits that come with a global partner.”
The introduction of the Emblems Collection signifies Accor’s increasing interest in the collection brands space. The group already has footprints in the luxury hotel space with well-known collections, including Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, and MGallery.

True to its name, the Emblems Collection will feature unique hotels that are ‘emblematic’ of their designers, demographics, or destinations. The exclusive addresses will fall into three main categories:
Emblems Collection Heritage
This will include buildings that contribute to the character of the destination, and properties that are hallmarks of history and classic cultural traditions.
Emblems Collection Retreat
These hotels will be alongside sun-kissed beaches, snow-covered mountains, and the verdant countrysides. With relaxing spa and wellness experiences, they will offer the ideal getaway for your mind, body, and soul.
Emblems Collection Signature
Aesthetically pleasing, these design-led hotels will pay homage to the style and signature of the designers or original residents who contributed to the hotel’s unique legacy.
Independent hoteliers who wish to retain their unique identities while upgrading their property’s luxury status are given the opportunity to sign franchise agreements. “With Emblems Collection, a hotelier can optimize their costs and operations right away by leveraging Accor’s powerful global distribution and supply networks, while expanding their audience reach from the moment they join. We look forward to working collaboratively with more hoteliers and development partners to bring more hotels around the world to this outstanding collection,” said Agnes Roquefort, Chief Development Officer, Accor.
