2023 has proved to be a year filled with the most exciting car drops as well as record luxury car sales. While the race towards EVs continues to take over the automotive industry, marques are not doing this without a focus on luxury. Ahead we take a look at some of the newest luxury car launches.
Sacai X Mercedes AMG GT 63 collaboration

If you thought collaborations were just hype in the fashion industry, it’s time to re-think it. Today, collaborations are spread across all industries. Luxury brand Sacai and German automotive giant Mercedes AMG have joined hands to unveil a new luxury car the Sacai X Mercedes AMG GT 63 and a line-up of luxury garments. The latest fashion collaboration takes inspiration from the iconic first racing car, the Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.8 AMG — which defied all expectations by finishing in second place at the 24 Hours of Spa in 1971. The new AMG GT is a wheel drive with back seats and it has a traditional automatic instead of the DCT.
In addition, it comes with the Mercedes V8 engine and complementing the capsule collection is a bespoke wrap for the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT. Designed by Sacai and unveiled at AMG Speed City, it perfectly completes a new creative interpretation of the Red Pig’s design elements. In the spirit of Sacai’s masterful craft and textural play, the Red Pig’s motifs have once again been abstracted and given three-dimensional form. The result is a mirrored chrome finish, with the original badges and shapes embossed on the surface of the GT. “AMG and Sacai sit at the intersection of luxury and performance in their respective fields, and we are thrilled to see the collaboration come to life in a way that feels authentic to both brands’ DNA: innovative, disruptive and unique. Our customers are connoisseurs, and the creation of bold brand experiences and one-of-a-kind luxury products, such as Sacai x AMG, is at the heart of our brand,” shared Michael Schiebe, Mercedes-AMG’s CEO.
2023 Ferrari Roma Spider

When it comes to luxury car launches the 2023 Ferrari Roma Spider is a future classic. This car is the brand’s first front engine soft-top convertible in 54 years while retaining all the elements from the Roma coupe. the Ferrari Roma Spider with soft top and a twin-turbo V8 redefines the aesthetics of driving en plein air. For the Ferrari Roma Spider’s cabin, there are two separate spaces, one each for driver and passenger. The design was created in an evolution of the dual cockpit concept, which has its roots deep in the marque’s history with cars from the 1970s. The innovative look of this dual cockpit was achieved by extending the philosophy applied to the dash to the entire cabin. Hence the vision of two modules that wrap around the driver and passenger and that extend and integrate with the two rear seats. The 3,855 cc power unit can punch out 620 cvs at 7,500 rpm and the Roma can reach a top speed of up to 60km/h in just 13.5 seconds.
