40 fashion designers will participate in the upcoming phygital showcase of Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week
Just days after the successful run of the maiden digital India Couture Week, the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is back with another virtual fashion treat – the Lotus Make-up India Fashion Week. Scheduled from October 14 to 18, the Spring-Summer 2021 edition will take a phygital avatar for the first time.

The LMIFW line-up includes an impressive mix of 40 of India’s established and emerging designers Tarun Tahiliani, Varun Bahl, Rina Dhaka, Shivan & Narresh, Shantanu & Nikhil, Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Payal Jain, Nitin Bal Chauhan, Namrata Joshipura, Geisha Designs and Ashish Soni.
The shows will be livestreamed on FDCI’s website, YouTube and social media platforms. To ease the process of staging and shooting fashion films, the team at FDCI has set up a studio with screens and bespoke lighting for the designers. The participants also have the liberty to shoot their video content at the location of their choice.
In addition to the four-day digital runway fiesta, a dedicated ‘Designer Showroom’ will be launched online. Here, the fashion designers can upload their lookbooks for the SS’21 season and sell to buyers from across the globe.
“This edition of the LMIFW is going to be eventful, as we have adapted to a new technology. We are happy to have Lotus Make Up continue their partnership, and welcome DLF Emporio/The Chanakya as our new collaborator,” said Sunil Sethi, FDCI Chairman.
Last week, Sethi was also appointed as the advisor to the The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), replacing Ritu Beri, whose term recently expired with the KVIC.
