5 Indian bars shake up Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 list
Curated by over 260 bar industry insiders, Asia’s 50 Best Bars is where creativity meets clinking glasses. From underground speakeasies to rooftop stunners, the annual list celebrates the continent’s top spots for killer drinks, standout service, and unforgettable ambience. And India’s cocktail culture just poured itself a winning streak, straight into Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025.
From smoke-infused sips in New Delhi to coastal concoctions in Goa and craft-driven cool in Bengaluru, five Indian bars have officially shaken up the scene. Leading the charge is Lair, Delhi’s dark and decadent drinking den, which cracked the top 10 at No. 8. Down south, Bengaluru is clearly having a spirited moment, landing three spots with Soka (28), ZLB 23 (31) and Bar Spirit Forward (37). Meanwhile, Goa’s Boilermaker served enough buzz to claim spot 30, proving that the sunshine state’s bar game is anything but laid-back.

Bar Leone in Hong Kong has once again shaken and stirred its way to the top, claiming the No. 1 spot on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 list. While Hong Kong nabbed the crown, Bangkok flexed some serious mixology muscle, landing seven bars in the top 50. Notably, Dry Wave Cocktail Studio made a sensational debut at No. 5, just behind its Thai neighbor Bar Us, which leapt from No. 21 last year. The extended 51–100 list, released two weeks earlier, also spotlighted some standout Indian names; Delhi’s Sidecar came in at No. 62, The Bombay Canteen in Mumbai secured No. 69, and Hideaway in Goa nestled in at No. 94.

Compiled by Asia’s 50 Best, one of the most prestigious rankings in the global bar industry, the 2025 list is a toast to innovation, technique, and vibe. And India’s rising stars are mixing it all just right.
