Louis Vuitton’s Airplane bag is taking the internet by storm; here’s why

Every day, the internet community finds something that could either be the next meme or be a potential trendsetter. And what has recently caught everyone’s attention is the new keepall bag by Louis Vuitton, shaped like an airplane. Yes! Not imprinted with airplane-y logos and motifs, but designed as an actual mini aircraft, for one to carry around as an accessory.

This travel bag was first revealed in Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Fall-Winter 2021 showcase this year. Reportedly, this whimsical, super-touristy bag costs a whopping $39,000 (approximately 29 lakh). And if costs are to be compared, one can buy a Toyota Fortuner roughly for the same amount, which even celebrities including Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma own and are often spotted driving.

Whether you are a fashion fanatic or an aviation geek, LV’s airplane bag is hard to miss. This one-of-its-kind travel bag makes for an eye-catching accessory to achieve those coveted, celeb-like airport looks. And we believe, the keepall not just belongs on the streets and the runway, but is also an excellent collectible.

It is designed by Virgil Abloh, LV’s Artistic Director for Menswear since 2018. The American designer first rose to popularity after launching his own label Off-White (2014) and his luxury streetwear quickly became a cult favourite, loved by Rihanna, Bella Hadid, Justin Bieber and other celebrities.

So what if you can’t get on an airplane, considering heavy travel restrictions due to Covid right now, but you can certainly bring the LV plane home!
