The Olympic Games that commenced on July 23 has grabbed everyone’s attention. With so many athletes making it big, have you ever wondered how much they’re worth? Well, except for some Indian athletes that live with hardships, in most other countries athletes and players are given the respect, money, and facilities they deserve.
1. Shaun White: $60 million

An American professional snowboarder, Shaun White has won three Olympic gold medals in his career and has an annual income of $10 million. This includes endorsement deals with brands like Burton Snowboards, Birdhouse Skateboards, HP and Sony to name a few. While he currently lives in a $6,400,000 home in Los Angeles, he also has several other properties including a condo in Park City, Utah, two houses in Malibu and another home in Laurel Canyon. He also owns a white Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 car.
2. Michael Phelps: $80 million

Michael Phelps is an American swimmer who currently holds the record for the most Olympics medals won by any athlete and that number is 28, out of which 23 are gold medals. His annual income is $9.8 million, including sponsorship deals with brands like Louis Vuitton, Speedo and Visa. He owns a condo in Baltimore which costs $1.69 million. His car collection includes a Cadillac Escalade, a Mercedes-Benz SL63, a BMW 7 series and a Range Rover.
3. Usain Bolt: $90 million

The fastest man in history, Usain Bolt has won 8 gold Olympic medals. Despite his retirement, he continues to earn an income of $20 million per year, from endorsements deals with brands like Visa, Virgin Media and Hublot, as well as from his F&B franchise– Track & Record in Jamaica and the UK. Currently, he owns two properties, a lavish mansion in Kingston as well as an oceanfront property in the Bahamas. He owns quite an impressive collection of cars including Aston Martin, Ferrari, Mercedes Benz and Bently. Currently, he lives in an apartment in Mallorca, Spain which cost him almost $4.3 million.
5. Novak Djokovic: $220 Million

Serbian professional tennis player Novak Djokovic was the first tennis player to win $100 million in prize money. He owns several properties all over including a hillside mansion in Monte Carlo costing $11.8 million, a beach villa in Miami costing $6 million and a two-bedroom apartment in Manhattan in New York costing $8.3 million. Famous American tennis player, Serena Williams has an annual income of $8 million, including $20 million from sponsors like Nike, Wilson, Aston Martin, etc. She also has her own clothing lines, Aneres (which is her first name spelt backwards) and S by Serena. She owns two properties, one in Florida costing $2.7 million and another in Miami which was designed by her sister Venus. 7. Roger Federer: $450 million

Swiss professional tennis player, Roger Federer has an annual income of $100 million which includes income from his brand endorsements with Rolex, Mercedes-Benz, Barilla, Moët & Chandon and Uniqlo. He owns two lavish homes, one in Switzerland costing $9 million and another in Dubai costing $23.5 million.
