The evening was hosted by power couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds along with Lin-Manuel Miranda and Regina King – all of who aced the dress code for the evening ‘Gilded Glamour’
The theme, ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’, or ‘Glided Glamour’ is the second part of the Costume Institute’s exhibition. ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’ was the first part which opened on September 18 and was preceded by the 2021 Met Gala on September 13. As always, the theme was reflected in the dress code; extravagant ball gowns, intricate embroidery, a copious amount of drama, long trails, jewel tones and over the top textures, as guests interpreted the Gilded Glamour theme.
