Scotch maker Johnnie Walker, ripe from the success of their series Ghost and Rare, has revealed the fifth Blue Label Ghost and Rare, this time with the addition of an NFT. Joining hands with Port Dundas and world-renowned NFT artist and photographer Ivona Tau, the bottle is also a visual treat. Limited to a mere 75 editions, this is the fifth edition in the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare series, and the second NFT release.
The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Port Dundas Master Set includes a physical one litre bottle signed by Johnnie Walker Master Blender Dr Emma Walker, The NFT bottle (digital version of the bottle); a unique digital art piece by Ivona Tau, access to an exclusive virtual storytelling experience with Emma Walker and Ivona Tau and Priority access to the next Diageo drop on BlockBar.com for those who burn their NFT.

The limited edition Johnnie Walker Ghost and Rare series explores the character of exceptional and rare whiskies from one of the world’s most famous Grain Whisky distilleries, the Glasgow ghost distillery of Port Dundas. “Port Dundas was, in its day, one of the finest Grain Whisky distilleries in the world and the rare expressions that we have chosen from our reserves are some of the most distinctive it has ever produced — their slow maturation allowing their sweet and delicate Grain character to blossom,” said Dr. Emma Walker — Johnnie Walker Master Blender. Each release offers an opportunity to savour aged-whiskies from long-closed ghost distilleries.

Tasting Notes
Amber in colour, the whiskey opens with creamy, woody notes from Port Dundas embracing the vanilla and soft smoke from the ghost whiskies of Cambus, and original stocks of Brora. It finishes with a hint of red berries and a lingering wisp of smoke.
