Bentley recently announced the details of a new limited-edition Flying Spur Hybrid Odyssean. Taking inspiration from the EXP 100 GT, the Flying Spur Hybrid Odyssean Edition is Bentley’s first step to introduce new sustainable materials as part of its Beyond100 strategy.
The exterior features painted Pale Brodgar accents on the 21” ten twin-spoke wheels, bumpers, light surrounds and side chrome elements, with a recommended set of six colours to choose from.
Taking inspiration from the 2019 EXP 100 GT, the interiors are said to be more environmentally friendly, with upholstery featuring tweed made from 100% British wool. The dashboard is finished with an open pore Koa wood veneer, finished using 90% less lacquer than traditional high-gloss veneers. The seats feature an exclusive new embroidery style with multiple colours threaded together to define and accentuate the “lofted diamond” pattern which is unique to the Flying Spur.
The interior will be offered in a special new hide called Autumn, with a choice of five specifications— Beluga, Porpoise, Cricketball, Brunel or Burnt Oak leather along with light, modern Linen hide.
The Flying Spur Hybrid Odyssean Edition features a 2.9-litre, twin-turbocharged petrol V6 that comes paired to a 136 hp electric motor delivering 536 bhp and 750 Nm of torque. With a top speed of 285kph, the car can travel from 0-100kph in 4.1 seconds.
Inside the cabin, the automatic Start-Stop switch has been replaced with a control for the three E Modes – EV Drive, Hybrid Mode and Hold Mode allowing the driver to manage the battery usage during their journey.
Remote services can be accessed through the My Bentley app. Other new features like ‘find my car’ and ‘lock my car’, through to My Battery Charge, My Car Statistics, and My Cabin Comfort are also incorporated.
