The 77th Venice Film Festival (VFF) successfully pulled off a star-studded physical event this weekend. It is one of the most prominent conventions in the space of international cinema, where celebrated personalities from across the world come together to recognise and award the best movies of the year. On the Indian front, filmmaker Chaitnaya Tamhane’s The Disciple bagged the ‘Best Screenplay’ award, a first win for the country, almost after 30 years at VFF.
It surely was an exciting 11 days of global filmmaking, albeit social-distanced in view of the ongoing crisis. The red carpet did not disappoint at all. Amidst scores of delicate gowns and dresses, celebrities were also spotted in some inspiring power dressing.
