The Man in the Magnifying Glass, the defining theme of Emporio Armani’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection focuses on a range of style elements; the juxtaposition of the classic and contemporary being the highlight of it all. The collection, for men of the new age, uses traditional fabrics such as velvet, wool cloth, chevrons, herringbone, diagonal stripes and glen plaid, which meet significant details of large collar flaps, pockets and a visibly loose silhouette fitting.

One would notice an appealing touch of sportswear in the F/W 2020 menswear line-up too, where the technical designs carefully intersect with the oversized outfits. There is a flair of casual dressing in the entire collection, but not to forget the edgy vintage-inspired features in every ensemble. Summarising it perfectly, the Italian fashion house founded by Giorgio Armani, believes that one doesn’t need to be on the athletic front to sport these pieces.

Dapper suit jackets, puffer jackets, coats, raincoats, dramatic larger-than-life scarves, trousers, check pants and harness tops are amongst the many pieces designed in the F/W 2020 series of the Man in the Magnifying Glass.

Diving in the colour palette, there is dominating use of darker tones, including mineral greys, lacquer red, onyx and black mixed with silver filaments. Tone on tone and pattern over pattern also surfaced during the presentation of the collection.
