The Art of India 2023

Uniting art enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and artists, The Art of India exhibition is an initiative to make art more accessible and democratic by showcasing a collection of over 150 artworks by a diverse group of Indian artists. This is the second edition of the show, featuring an amalgam of art forms from some of the most well-known contemporary Indian artists across the country and overseas. More than 100 Indian artists will display their works as part of the prestigious 2023 edition of the show, which will take place in Mumbai at Snowball Studios. With paintings, sculptural works in different media, hand-woven art carpets, video projections, 3D walkthroughs, and an array of workshops, the ART OF INDIA brings Indian art to the centre stage on the cultural landscape. It is an opportunity for art lovers of every genre to connect and collect.

DeadAnt Media turns four years old next weekend, and they’re having a big birthday blowout with their first ever comedy festival, Laughing Dead. They have five exciting shows, packed with 35+ of India’s most compelling voices in comedy and a bunch of other surprises. They are also so excited to welcome international comedy superstar Daniel Sloss for the first time in India to kick off the festival with ‘Can’t’, the special he’s touring globally this year.  Spread over two days, there’s also a garden called the (G)raveyard, where you can chill between shows, get some grub from some of Bombay’s favourite restaurants, and have a drink or two at the very long bar.

A unique showcase of artisan-designer collaborations, Tarasha is taking place on 18 and 19 March at Craft Village in Delhi.  Craft and design have traditionally been intertwined in India and have resulted in innovative craft products co-created by artisan-designer pairs over a period of three months. These include a variety of unique and innovative products such as a chessboard made with traditional leather puppetry, a temple for homes, a pop-up storybook for children, a kid’s cupboard, contemporary candle holders, kitchen utensils, tealights, Ajrakh rugs, cushion covers, and table runners.
Ritika Gandhi, Anchor, Project Tarasha says “This event illustrates an equitable artisan-designer collaboration with a focus on inclusive design, co-learning, co-creating, and two-way knowledge transfer.”
