Ethos Ltd brings Jacob & Co. to India

India’s premium watch retailer, Ethos Limited has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with renowned watchmaker Jacob & Co., bringing the brand’s unique collections to India.

One of the country’s largest luxury and premium watch retailers, Ethos Limited boasts a portfolio of over 50 luxury watch brands, 30 of which are available exclusively at Ethos in India. Expanding its distributions further, the retailer is bringing Jacob & Co.’s collections to Indian consumers.

Wearable art

Jacob & Co. has maintained a global reputation for its high-precision Swiss timepieces. Combining high jewellery with complex watchmaking, the house has crafted some exclusive pieces that left an impression on the world. Ingenious collections like the Astronomia, Epic, Five Time Zone, and Opera are not only visually appealing but have also incorporated new-age technology and excellent craftsmanship into their designs. These watches are often crafted with precious metals like gold, platinum and rhodium along with gemstones like sapphires and diamonds, and are usually produced in limited runs.

Jacob & Co. has also made many impactful contributions to art and sports cultures through collaborations with renowned brands like Bugatti, Paramount Pictures and Universal Pictures as well as personalities like Lionel Messi, street artist Alec Monopoly, and UFC champion Khabib Nurmagome.

An exclusive partnership 

As a watchmaker known for creating haute horlogerie pieces, Jacob & Co. is revered worldwide, and Ethos will now make its treasured watches accessible to the Indian market as its exclusive retailer.

Tribute to India – Astronomia Art

Earlier last year, Jacob & Co. unveiled a striking timepiece called Astronomia Art India. The luxury watch was a tribute to India, celebrating its culture and majesty. Four hand-engraved and hand-painted buildings grace the dial of the double-axis tourbillon movement of the unique piece Astronomia Art India. They include the Taj Mahal, the Lotus Temple, the India Gate, and the Qutub Minar.

The four buildings were hand-engraved and hand-painted by traditional métiers d’art artisans. The buildings were then set into an aventurine glass base that resembles a starry sky. Additionally, the dial also features the signature Jacob-cut diamond and a magnesium globe made of blue-lacquered magnesium that rotates on itself every 60 seconds.
