Altuzarra


Joseph Altuzarra revived the shibori dyeing of his spring 2016 collection on separates and dresses in this SS22 collection. Crochet layered with prints and knit fabric decorate this collection.

Anna Sui


‘Another Day in Paradise,’ Anna Sui’s SS22 edit is a vortex of neon pink and green. Crochet bathing suits, neon scuba shirts and gingham socks, shirts, dresses, and skirts in tropical prints of birds, hibiscuses, dahlias, and garden flowers are all reminiscent of a tropical getaway.

Carolina Herrera


“Two of the most Herrera things are florals and polka dots, so why not combine them?” says Wes Gordon, Creative Director, Carolina Herrera of the SS22 edit. The collection celebrates four decades of Herrera’s fabulous fashion and is a mixture of reds, pinks, blacks, and whites with floral elements and signature polka dots.

In a flurry of pinks, greens and blues, Coach’s SS22 collection comes alive. It is filled with plaids and houndstooth prints from the archives Coach’s first lead designer, Bonnie Cashin. A revival of the classic Cashin Carry tote also makes an appearance.

Moschino


The Moschino Spring/Summer 2022 fashion show begins with powerhouse Gigi Hadid strutting down the runway in a vibrant blue and yellow ensemble. Based on the theme of “Ladies who lunch” the Moschino collection is playful with pastel shades. The teatime collection is replete with miniskirts and tops, cropped blazers, scalloped hems, exaggerated collars, and matching bags.

Love is on the mind of designer Michael Kors, as his Spring/Summer 2022 makes its debut at Central Park. Floral lace, gingham, and sequins dominate the palette of this collection.

The Proenza Schouler Spring / Summer 2022 showcase took place at the newly opened Little Island at Pier 55, west of Manhattan. The location set the scene for a comfortable, casual yet dressy collection. Long beaded fringes, strategic cut-outs, in orange, pink, yellows and blacks define the edit.

In an ode to the American Girl, Prabal Gurung crafts a collection inspired by New York. The pieces are rooted in American sportswear styles, but with a couture twist. With delicate hand shredded organza mimics furs, neon gingham, the edit is a celebration of femininity.

The SS22 Tory Burch fashion show took place at the Mercer Street in New York city. In Burch’s own words, the collection is “inspired by Claire McCardell’s ingenuity and her legacy of American sportswear which revolutionized the way women dress.” Contrasts of colour, print and fabric pepper this collection. Chiffon and linen, jersey and broderie anglaise, dresses in solids and Madras plaids, softly defined waists and full skirts plus relaxed trousers form the summer edit.
