Calling car enthusiasts around the world, Porsche has unveiled a teaser for its limited edition 911 Sport Classic. Emphasizing “driving pleasure above all else,” the 2023 911 model pays tribute to a beauty from the ’70s – the 911 Carrera RS 2.7. Based on the Type-992 wide-body 911 Turbo S, the retro model gets a revised engine producing 543hp and 442ft lbs of torque. Keeping it like the classic old models of the ’70s, the new 911 will only be offered with a seven-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. Although a modern interpretation of the classic 911, the new model maintains stylistic elements from the original like numerals and needles on the tachometer and sport chrono-clock, embossed headrests, unique door-sill plates, etc.
