This week in fashion is a buzz with the latest in luxury news. After spending most of her career at  Alexander McQueen in London,  Sarah Burton’s next stint will be with Givenchy. Being the brand’s eighth designer and its second female couturier, she is expected to present her first designs for Givenchy during Paris Fashion Week in March 2025. Renowned for her work at Alexander McQueen, where she succeeded the late designer, Burton brings a blend of tradition and modernity to the iconic French fashion house.

Jaipur Rugs has made a splash at the prestigious Homo Faber exhibition in Venice making it the the latest in luxury news for the week. The brand collaborated with filmmaker Luca Guadagnino to create two stunning, large carpets. Stretching 25 meters, the Cenacolo Palladiano Carpet is a stunning creation for the Cenacolo Palladiano, a grand refectory designed by architect Andrea Palladio. Luca Guadagnino’s modern take, inspired by his watercolour for the Homo Faber 2024 logo, features abstract block colours that pay tribute to Paolo Veronese’s Renaissance fresco The Wedding at Cana. This Jaipur Rugs piece sets the stage for a grand table adorned with handcrafted objects, blending past and present in an immersive experience. Equally striking, the Padiglione delle Capriate Carpet uses vibrant Memphis-inspired motifs and a bold rhombus shape to energise the pavilion with its dynamic design.

The Bvlgari Bvlgari Mangalsutra sautoir necklace mixes Indian tradition with a contemporary touch, created as a statement piece for today’s Indian woman. Its long and versatile design can be worn easily with both Indian and Western outfits, either on its own or layered. The circular rose gold details, inspired by ancient Roman coins, feature black onyx inserts and pavé diamonds, while black onyx beads celebrate traditional Indian craftsmanship. This necklace captures the collection’s bold spirit, offering different ways to wear it and reflecting Bvlgari’s daring and timeless style.

Bollywood star and Michael Kors watch ambassador, Anushka Sharma, has made history by launching her very own limited-edition timepiece.
