Bollywood’s very own fashionista, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is well known for her cutting edge fashion choices. From bold designs and silhouettes to mix and match prints, she has never shied away from experimenting. And her love for ruffles is no secret.
Attending the launch of the Business of Fashion show in London, Sonam was dressed in an exquisite Alexander McQueen design from the pre-fall ’21 collection.
The ensemble was a red double-tiered, trapeze-line dress with broad pleats. Puffed sleeves and structural ruffles around the collar added a dramatic effect while a classic broad belt cinched the voluminous skirt at her waist.

Katy Perry was featured on the cover of Vogue India in January 2020. For the cover shoot, the American pop star wore a blue floral-print mini dress by Richard Quinn. Exaggerated puffed shoulders, white padded bows and ruffled trims gave this look its OTT dramatic but adorable look.
Taking dramatic sleeves to the next level, Lady Gaga wore a custom Christian Siriano polka dot blouse for her MTV unplugged concert in July this year. The top featured voluminous bubble sleeves and was paired with a black crepe, high-waisted skirt with a pleated back.
