Hotstar’s Aarya: Where to get Sushmita Sen’s outfits and her other ethnic dresses

Former Miss Universe 1994, Sushmita Sen is back on our screens with her debut web series Aarya, streaming now on Disney + Hotstar VIP.

Apart from her acting and striking screen presence, viewers are also impressed by the outfits the diva has worn in the series.

Yellow silk lehenga

Aarya’s costume designer Theia Tekchandaney has skillfully curated this look. Sen is seen adorning a yellow silk lehenga and a sheer dupatta by Raw Mango along with accessories by Golecha Jewels, which perfectly matches the greens in her dupatta. This vibrant colour was chosen to depict her calmness and joy before the storm turns her life upside down.

Gold and green saree by Raw Mango

This emerald green saree with gold detailing by Raw Mango is another pice she wore in Aarya that won hearts. However, It is the uniquely designed blouse that brings the saree to life. This look, too, has been topped up with big and bold accessories by Golecha Jewels.

Sushmita Sen has been spotted numerous times wearing ethnic dresses by Neeta Lulla, a bridalwear specialist. Sushmita’s elegant black saree is completed with an emerald necklace set by Anmol Jewellers. She wore this gorgeous piece to a wedding in Delhi.

It is no surprise that Sushmita has walked Lakme Fashion Week for many top designers. In 2018, she wore this fusion kanjeevaram saree by Sunita Shanker from her ‘Re-crafting traditional skills’ collection. This brand swears by handmade and Indian designs and this beautiful saree is proof of how rich Indian traditional crafts can be.

Showstopper for House of Kotwara

Sushmita stunned the audience with her grand entry in a glittering lehenga-choli with at Lakme Fashion Week 2018 on the song Inn Aankhon Ki Masti Ke from Umrao Jaan. She was the show-stopper for Kotwara’s Summer, Spring 2020 collection titled ‘ Samanzar’ A garden of flowers’.

Once again, she walked the LFW 2016 ramp in a gorgeous saree, this time, for fashion designer Manish Malhotra. This sheer gold saree was paired with nude makeup.
