India Cocktail Week 2024’s Fourth Edition dazzled Delhi

By Anushka Manik

Wherever your adventure takes you, there’s nothing quite like kicking back with a delicious cocktail in hand. But why settle for ordinary when you can dive into a weekend of pure cocktail magic?

Welcome to the intoxicating world of India Cocktail Week 2024 organised by WMS and Passcode Hospitality, where the vibrant pulse of Delhi met the artistry of mixology in a whirlwind of flavors and flair. As a seasoned cocktail aficionado, I couldn’t resist the allure of this year’s fourth edition, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. But first, what is India Cocktail Week?

India Cocktail Week is an annual event that is held in various cities and celebrates the artistry of mixology and the cocktail culture in India. It typically features a series of events, workshops, tastings, and competitions aimed at showcasing the diversity and creativity of cocktails, along with hosting a bunch of activities and performances by famous Indie artists to get you grooving. During ICW, cocktail enthusiasts, bartenders, mixologists, and industry professionals come together to explore new trends, techniques, and ingredients in the world of cocktails. Back for round four, ICW is back in action after three smash-hit editions.

From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted by an atmosphere buzzing with excitement and anticipation. The venue itself was a sight to behold, adorned with dazzling displays, some of the best food popups, and creative cocktail bar takeovers from the world’s top 50 bars featuring Don Julio, Jose Cuervo, Lucifers Gold, 1800 Tequilla, etc, each one more enticing than the last. But it wasn’t just about the aesthetics – the drinks themselves were nothing short of extraordinary. From classic concoctions to innovative creations, every sip was a journey for the senses. Whether you’re a fan of fruity fusions or bold, boozy blends, there was something for everyone to enjoy. However, it was the Handshake bar takeover with Don Julio that stood our for us.

At ICW, we were treated to the ultimate culinary journey, featuring the most mouthwatering pizzas from Fat Lulu’s, irresistible burgers from Good Flippin, and tantalizing kebabs and rumali roti from Koyla Kebab. But that was just the beginning! The Asian delights from the capital’s beloved Gonzo, along with treats from Kevin’s Bistro, Ping’s, and a whole host of other eateries, ensured that no craving went unsatisfied.

As for day two of ICW, the fun was non-stop. A stellar lineup of artists, including Francis Mercier, Nida, DJ Kan-i, Rabab, and more, kept the energy soaring and the dance floor packed. And for those seeking a break from the beats, there was no shortage of entertainment options, from gaming arcades to Glitter Face Art, Fluid Art, and even Tarot Reading.

But perhaps the highlight of the evening was the sense of camaraderie among attendees. Whether you were a seasoned mixologist or a curious cocktail enthusiast, there was a sense of shared passion and appreciation for the craft that brought us all together.

While the edition of ICW is over, mark your calendars for the 23rd and 24th of March because ICW is bringing the party to W Goa! Get ready for an unforgettable celebration packed with color, music, and endless fun. Book your tickets here.
