Founder and longtime chief executive Remo Ruffini will transition into the role of executive chairman, while seasoned luxury operator Bartolomeo Rongone steps in as group CEO, effective April 1. The move marks a carefully considered handover at one of luxury’s most consistently successful houses. Calling the decision a “natural evolution” of Moncler’s corporate structure, Ruffini framed the change as forward looking rather than reactive, with an eye on long term continuity and generational succession. In a statement, he underscored Rongone’s “deep knowledge of the luxury world” and customer centric leadership as critical to Moncler’s future journey.

As Formula 1 enters a new technical era, Maui Jim reaffirmed its partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing, continuing as eyewear partner to the eight time World Champions. The brand will equip Max Verstappen, Isack Hadjar and the wider race team throughout the global calendar. Marking the moment is the Racing Capsule Collection, featuring refreshed Ho‘okipa Ultra colourways inspired by the team’s palette and the debut of the Haulani frame, sculpted by aerodynamic design and finished with SuperThin Glass lenses. The collaboration reflects a meeting of performance, clarity and controlled innovation.

In Bangalore, Nuvrah emerged as a 30,000 sq. ft. luxury fashion destination conceived as a departure from conventional multi designer retail. Conceptualised by Pawan Mehta, the space marks Manish Malhotra’s exclusive Bangalore presence alongside a tightly curated roster of Indian designers. With private customisation suites, in house styling and a community lounge, Nuvrah positions luxury as an immersive journey rather than a transactional experience.

SEIKO strengthened its India presence with the opening of its first Mumbai flagship boutique at Bandra’s Linking Road. The 900 sq. ft. standalone store brings the brand’s 145 year Japanese watchmaking legacy to life through an immersive retail experience. Featuring collections including King Seiko, Prospex, Presage, Astron and New 5 Sports, the boutique reinforces SEIKO’s focus on craftsmanship, innovation and performance led design.

Taken together, the week’s announcements reveal a luxury industry increasingly defined by restraint, credibility and long term vision. Whether through speed, space, time or scent, the message is clear luxury is choosing depth over display.
