The 76th Venice Film Festival witnessed a lot more than classic movie productions. Celebrities from around the world marked their attendance in the city of canals, and glamorously so, in ruffles, slits, sequins and dapper suits and tux. LuxeBook rounds up seven of the finest men, clad in eye-catching formal suits on the Italian red carpet.
1. Timothée Chalamet

In his debut appearance, the 23-year-old actor Timothee Chalamet chose a Haider Ackermann piece; silver monochromatic set of blazer, satin collarless undershirt and rolled-up pants with black boots. What impressed the fashion mavens was the two-toned belt clinched around the waist, a successful sartorial experiment.
2. Nate Parker

Departing from the typical black on white co-ordinates, Nate Parker attended the film festival dressed smartly in Grayscale label. The brick-red suit sported subdued checkered patterns top to bottom with a white shirt under it and finished seamlessly with a black pair of formal moccasins.
3. Achille Lauro

Basics are passé; Achille Lauro’s Gucci pick for the annual Italian film festival proved so. He combined ruffles, animated net sleeves and a tuxedo jumpsuit designed from fine wool, silk and organza. To complete the look, Lauro accessorised with silver rings and black leather boots from Gucci’s Fall/Winter 2019 collection.
4. Alessandro Borghi

A spruced-up spin to the customary suits, Alessandro Borghi fashioned a navy blue Heritage tuxedo contoured with a matte-satin lapel. Complementing it was a white evening shirt with a bow tie and leather lace-up footwear from Gucci’s Pre-fall 2019 line.
5. Mark Chao

The Chinese actor and ambassador of Boss at the Venice Film Festival screenings chose velvet. Chao’s look was a regal mix of a white shirt, bow tie and black pants, layered with a fitted red velvet tux.
6. Johnny Depp

For his appearance on the celebrity carpet, Johnny Depp spiced up the formal ensemble with deep blue and floral imprints on the suit, matched with black pants and glossy black shoes.
7. Roger Waters

Even at 76, Roger Waters, one of the founding members of the British rock band Pink Floyd, looked ravishing in a black blazer, black pants and a monochrome scarf thrown around the neck.
