Popular K-Pop boy band BTS made their runway debut with Louis Vuitton,
on July 7, 2021.

The ‘Spin-Off collection’ is the brand’s fall/winter 2021 ensemble, which was showcased in a film shot in the Bucheon Art Bunker B39 in Seol, Korea.

The looks, created by Men’s Creative Director Virgil Abloh, include 34 new designs that are an extension of the menswear collection launched in January this year.

The collection featured travel-inspired clothing, jackets, long overcoats, sequins and furs, adorned with airplane buttons, large carrier bags and an LV-branded to-go coffee cup.

Playing on the theme of illusion, the collection replicates the familiar through the deceptive lenses of trompe l’oeil and filtrage.

Virgil Abloh shared that the collection was inspired by the “idea of challenging preconceived notions and reimagining established codes.”

Using extreme elevation, the collection re-appropriates what’s “normal”, to redefine how our minds identify archetypical wardrobes that are tied to societal presumptions.
