Levi’s girl Deepika Padukone’s business affair

A brand that’s synonymous with blue jeans and a celebrity that’s synonymous with grace and style come together in a global partnership. In an announcement on Wednesday, Levi’s, the iconic denim maker revealed Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone as their global brand ambassador. The 35-year-old is set to spearhead their new campaign focused on a range of fashion fits, highlighting the brand’s commitment to the womenswear category. 
Padukone says of the collaboration: “I have always been a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl. The right pair of jeans not only make me feel comfortable but also confident! I am absolutely honoured and delighted to be associating with one of the world’s most iconic brands-Levi’s®.”   
From Tanishq to Coca-Cola, Tissot and Axis Bank the prolific actor has been the face of multiple luxury and lifestyle brands. She was also declared the global ambassador for L’Oreal Paris in 2017, joining the ranks of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Freida Pinto and Katrina Kaif.

Not only onscreen, Padukone also has a list of laudable achievements off-screen. In 2013, she launched her line of womenswear in association with retail brand Van Heusen. Foraying into the fashion industry once again, in 2015 Padukone started her brand “All About You” with Myntra, a fun casual line of kurtas, dresses, shoes, jeans, jeggings and more.

The actress is also a strong advocate of mental health awareness, in October 2015, she built a foundation called The Live Love Laugh Foundation. A product of her struggles with depression and anxiety, the foundation provides mental health resources, and aims to reduce the stigma around mental health in India. 
In addition to this, she is also an investor of her company Ka Enterprises, in various consumer-focused retail start-ups such as EpigamiaFurlencoPurplle. Her company, Ka Productions, started in 2018, is currently producing Ranveer-Deepika starrer cricket drama, ’83’. The actress-entrepreneur’s first film under the banner was Chhapaak (2020), a drama directed by Meghna Gulzar, in which Padukone plays the role of an acid attack survivor

In 2019, the Mumbai Academy of the Moving Images (MAMI) appointed Padukone as the chairperson of the prestigious festival. An ace badminton player, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and actress, the gorgeous Deepika Padukone has many feathers in her cap, and her association with Levi’s adds another.
