Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2019 collection draws inspiration from Hollywood’s glamourous ladies
Louis Vuitton does not put up a fashion show for its Pre-Fall Collection. Instead, the brand creates a carefully designed look-book for this season between seasons, using a combination of ideas from past seasons. For this year’s collection, Louis Vuitton’s creative director for womenswear Nicolas Ghesquière roped in a powerful force of Hollywood’s women. From Academy Award winners and nominees to industry newcomers, the faces are diverse. The ladies have one thing in common; most of them have been spotted at Louis Vuitton fashion shows on numerous occasions. The high-profile list includes Thandie Newton, Jennifer Connelly, Michelle Williams, Ruth Negga, Sophie Turner, Chloë Grace Moretz, Alicia Vikander, Léa Seydoux, and Laura Harrier to name a few.
Ghesquière maintained that he wanted to create ensembles keeping in mind the models’, here actresses’, points of view. Hence, every model is dressed in an outfit that she feels most herself in. Isn’t that what fashion is about anyway?
A look through the photographs, beautifully shot by iconic fashion photographer Collier Schorr, and one can see a number of patterns and prints contrastingly thrown together in a way that works perfectly. Plaid and stripes go with zebra and floral, with accessories not shying away from funky shapes and even more patterns.

Here are some accessories from the collection that you can purchase to complete your own outfits with that signature Louis Vuitton pop of high fashion.
Toupie
Known for its iconic bags, Louis Vuitton’s Toupie (top in French) is one of the many style statement pieces they have ushered into fashion.
