Luxurious Ayurveda goes international: Forest Essentials launches in the UK

Forest Essentials, the made in India Ayurveda brand marks its foray into the international market with an online presence. London based, one of Europe’s premium online beauty retailers will house Forest Essentials’ skincare products.   
Forest Essentials’ product ranges, for skin, body and hair will be available for purchase in the UK. The brand’s Soundarya collection, which includes luminous body oil, facial ubtan, rich body milk and shower wash, all crafted with 24k gold will also sell on the portal. Lookfantastic will offer the Men’s Collection, as well as scents and ingredient combinations reminiscent of India such as Madurai Jasmine & Mogra, Green Tea & Oudh, Kashmiri Nargis, and Indian Rose Absolute. Forest Essentials’ luxurious and inclusive gifting options are also available via the e-retailer.

The e-commerce platform, Lookfantastic has a portfolio of over 660 premium brands onsite and the revenue share has grown 40 per cent year on year in the last four years. The website has over 30 localised sites in as many languages and nearly 71 per cent of traction on Lookfantastic is international. They carry over 22,000 products with complimentary worldwide shipping to over 200 countries. Look Fantastic is owned by The Hut Group, which recently bought over Cult Beauty, another UK-based online beauty retailer.

The luxury brand has opened 21 new stores between the period between July 2020 and August 2021. They have established a presence in both existing and new markets, including Tier 2 cities, Varanasi, Cochin, Mysore, Lucknow and Raipur, with a total of 100 standalone stores across 29 cities in India. Forest Essentials also plans to expand to the Middle East, Southeast Asia and United States in the next few years.
