Oberoi Resorts and Hotels is debuting in London

One of the hottest luxury news updates this week is the announcement that Oberoi Hotels & Resorts is debuting in London’s upscale district Mayfair as part of Grosvenor’s South Molton development. It will be home to the Indian luxury hospitality group’s first Oberoi Hotel in the UK and is located on a prominent corner at 40-46 Brook Street. The hotel is poised to become Mayfair’s premier luxury boutique hotel, showcasing Oberoi’s iconic design, world-class service and attention to detail. In terms of development, construction has begun on site with all phases scheduled for completion by the end of 2027.  Mr. Vikram Oberoi, Managing Director and CEO of The Oberoi Group, added, “We are delighted to bring the legendary Oberoi hospitality to London, especially in such an iconic location as Mayfair. This project marks a pivotal moment for our brand’s global journey. The Oberoi, Mayfair, will embody the very essence of luxury, offering guests an intimate retreat in the heart of Mayfair with the dynamic spirit of the city.”

Swarovski unveils its Holiday 2024 campaign with Ariana Grande

The DEFY Extreme Diver, combines bold design with top-tier functionality. Part of the DEFY series dating back to 1969, this model is designed for extreme underwater conditions. It features Zenith’s signature bold, angular design with a durable titanium case that resists seawater corrosion, making it perfect for the depths.

Key highlights include a rotating black ceramic bezel with Super-LumiNova accents that glow underwater, ensuring easy readability even in low light. The watch is also equipped with a helium escape valve, ideal for deep dives. Diptyque has unveiled its first boutique in India, located in the heart of Delhi’s Chanakya Mall, making it to this week’s luxury news. The boutique is a harmonious blend of Parisian charm and Indian opulence, featuring a carefully curated selection of the brand’s iconic collections. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a unique design that evokes both the elegance of Parisian Haussmann apartments and the richness of Indian palaces, with colourful stucco walls and intricate hand-painted details. The space features stucco walls and hand-painted details inspired by both Haussmann apartments and Indian palaces. Visitors are greeted by a striking mosaic at the entrance and a vibrant, artistic interior that includes a large painted frieze and an intricately designed ceiling. Inside, the boutique is divided into two rooms, each showcasing Diptyque’s signature candles, fragrances, and home collections. The second room features a chandelier and a sofa adorned with luxurious fabric, further elevating the store’s sensory experience.

Fabergé x Beetlejuice Egg Objet

Making it to luxury news, Fabergé, the legendary jeweller, known for its historic egg objets, has announced an exciting new collaboration with Warner Bros. and visionary director Tim Burton: the Fabergé x Beetlejuice Egg Objet.  Expected to be unveiled in 2025, this one-of-a-kind creation combines Burton’s signature style with Fabergé’s craftsmanship, making it a true collector’s treasure.

The Fabergé x Beetlejuice Egg Objet is a highly detailed work of art, merging classic Fabergé elegance with the eerie yet playful aesthetic of Beetlejuice. The design incorporates striking details inspired by Burton’s visual style and a hidden ‘celebration ring’ inside, which Burton imagines as a unique touch for a memorable proposal or special occasion. Burton, expressed his excitement for the project. “Creating a one-of-a-kind egg objet with Fabergé was an incredible opportunity to blend humour, fun, and luxury.”

Armani Beauty Flagship Store Opens In New Delhi

Armani Beauty has arrived in India with its first flagship store in New Delhi, located at the DLF Promenade. Making it to this week’s luxury news, the store offers the brand’s full range of makeup and skincare products for the first time in the country, alongside its established fragrance collection. Visitors can now explore a variety of iconic products, including the Power Fabric Foundation, Lip Maestro, Lip Maestro Satin, Lip Power lipsticks, and Eye Tint. The fragrance collection features bestsellers such as Acqua di Giò, Armani Code, Sì, and My Way. Additionally, the Haute Couture Fragrances collection, Armani/Privé, and the skincare line, including the signature anti-ageing range Crema Nera, complete the Armani Beauty experience. To further expand its presence in India, Armani Beauty plans to open two more stores in Mumbai and Bangalore in the near future.
