Chandon India wins big on the global stage

Sparkling celebrations are in order as Chandon India clinched four medals at the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships 2025. Its Délice cuvée took home Gold, while the 2015 10th Anniversary Vintage Edition, Brut, and Rosé each secured Silver. Crafted in Nashik and Dhule, these wines highlight India’s growing influence in the global luxury wine landscape. Winemaker Kaushal Khairnar called the wins “a testament to Nashik’s terroir and the innovation driving Indian sparkling wines.”
JJ Valaya returns to Mumbai after 24 years

The Monarch of Indian couture is back. JJ Valaya has unveiled two flagship stores at Jio World Plaza- JJ Valaya Coutureand JJV Kapurthala Luxury Pret. The couture space houses bridal ateliers, menswear, and lehengas with Valaya’s signature mixed-metal embroideries, while JJV Kapurthala offers lighter, versatile collections inspired by the Maharaja of Kapurthala’s travels. The opening marks a homecoming for Valaya, who last had a presence in Mumbai nearly a quarter century ago.
Anamika Khanna’s AK|OK debuts at London Fashion Week

Indian design took center stage at London Fashion Week as Anamika Khanna’s label AK|OK made its international debut inside Hamleys, the legendary toy store. The show was both runway and memory capsule, reimagining Indian craft through the lens of nostalgia-chikankari coats over trousers, silver accents styled with denim, and prints inspired by mythology. Khanna described the collection as a pause from the fast pace of digital life, a chance to reconnect with handmade beauty. Gucci goes cinematic with Demna’s debut

Gucci has traded the runway for the silver screen with The Tiger, a Spike Jonze-directed short film starring Demi Moore, Edward Norton, Keke Palmer, and Elliot Page. The surreal 30-minute film doubles as the debut showcase of Demna’s first Gucci collection, La Famiglia. Gwyneth Paltrow has extended her Goop empire into fashion with the launch of Gwyn, a new luxury label unveiled at New York Fashion Week. The 36-piece capsule, priced between $300–$2,000, offers timeless staples crafted in Italy, from cashmere jackets to fluid dresses. With design led by Sofía Menassé (ex-The Row, Margiela), Gwyn is pitched as a refined, international wardrobe brand—“a little less California, a little more global,” as Paltrow puts it.
Fossil introduces limited-edition ‘Machine Luxe’ with Nick Jonas

Fossil brought global glamour to Mumbai with the launch of its limited-edition Machine Luxe capsule, designed in collaboration with brand ambassador Nick Jonas. Hosted at Snowball Studios, the soirée recreated the nostalgia of an American diner- complete with neon signs, retro installations, and even a milkshake glass engraving station. Homegrown menswear label Mufti has opened a reimagined flagship at Mumbai’s Phoenix Palladium, marking a fresh chapter in its 25-year journey. Designed as an immersive lifestyle space rather than just a store, the flagship reflects Mufti’s new identity of sophistication and versatility. Actor Vijay Varma headlined the launch, underscoring the brand’s renewed commitment to contemporary menswear rooted in self-expression.
