Porsche launches a preview of the new Dakar 911


Car giant Porsche has unveiled a new preview of the Dakar 911, which is the first two-door sports car to offer outstanding off-road capabilities. The model name is inspired by the first overall victory by Porsche in the Paris-Dakar rally in 1984. It was a modified Porsche 911 – which had been fitted with an all-wheel-drive system for the first time that helped win the race. The Porsche Dakar 911 will make its official debut at the LA Auto Show on November 16.
Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen artwork sells for $1.5 billion

In an auction by Christie’s, late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen’s art collection featuring 60 artworks — from a Van Gogh landscape to a nude painting by Georges Seurat — were sold for a jaw-dropping $1.5 billion. This hefty price tag has surpassed the record set earlier this year by Harry and Linda Macklowe, who after their divorce sold 65 artworks for $922 million, and hence makes it way to the luxury news wrap.
Sotheby’s is selling a rare Hermès Kelly 25 for half a million!

One of the most eye-catching news updates is by luxury brand Hermès. Hermès handbags are one of the most prized possession, and Sotheby’s is auctioning a rare handbag in a private sale for more than half a million dollars. The Hermès Kelly 25on offer is expected to surpass the price paid for a similar bag which sold for $513,000 earlier this year also in a private sale, according to a Sotheby’s representative. The Hermès bag, a white crocodile Himalaya with 18-carat white-gold hardware, could create a new world record. The bag’s clasp and the lock attached are studded with 258 diamonds.

It’s finally official, Samsung and luxury fashion brand Maison Margiela have unveiled the collaboration for the Galaxy Z Flip4. Samsung embraces Maison Margiela’s décortiqué technique for the Galaxy Z Flip4 featuring translucent lines which signify the internal circuits of the phone. Wallpaper artwork and icons have been tailor-made for this special edition and it features two iconic phone cases. A unique leather cover that reflects the house’s iconic bianchetto technique. The second cover is a spin on Maison Margiela’s emblematic numeric coding ring, evoking the house’s DNA. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 Maison Margiela Edition will be available starting from December 1st, 2022.
